Great teams are well lead, well briefed, well trained and welfared.

Neil Grimmer Cmgr MCMI

CEO, Sports Concerts & Events

SCE supply crowd safety, event security and traffic management teams to events across the UK and have dipped our toes into Europe. We’re passionate about keeping crowds safe and deliver high quality services.

We have worked everything from premier league to non-league football, 100k+ crowded festivals to 1k person concerts and our clients have said things like “we’re a force multiplier” and “high quality & great value for money”.

So “for when crowd safety matters” don’t get the clowns and cowboys, bring in Sports Concerts and Events.

How it all started:

Neil used to be the event manager for another company. One Monday morning he got a text message from the MD telling him the company has gone broke and all jobs are cancelled.

Having to inform the clients that sadly they would need to make other arrangements. One client called Neil on Wednesday saying they couldn’t find anyone, Neil sorted a team out and covered what he thought would be one job. Multiple clients then asked Neil to cover their jobs over the following weeks and from that Sports Concerts and Events was born.

What we stand for:

SCE has evolved very quickly with the goal of being a good disruptor within the industry. As such we guarantee that our staff:
  • Are there to work and not just to fill a jacket.
  • Care about the job they are doing and ensure the safety and security of the crowd.
  • Speak level 1 English (equivalent to a grade D-G at GCSE).
  • Be customer focused, friendly and approachable.
  • Trained above the industry standard.
  • Demonstrate the company’s unofficial motto of Professionalism, Knowledge and Safety.

Furthermore, Sports Concerts and Events aims to positively change the event safety industry by ensuring that staff are fairly paid, enjoy high levels of welfare on shifts and are properly equipped to do the job they’re there to do.

We ensure that our managers and supervisors operate as leaders via training and a culture that runs from the top to the front-line staff ensuring that everyone knows we’re a cohesive team that deals with problems as they occur.
